Professional Evolution

Zhang recently concluded her notable tenure as editor-in-chief of Vogue China, where she served from 2021 to 2024. During her time at the helm, she oversaw 63 issues and secured interviews with major stars, including Rihanna for one of her final issues.

Her legacy at Vogue China includes launching the groundbreaking Vogue Film Initiative, supporting Chinese women in film. The initiative has produced 17 short films and established the ‘Her Lens’ workshop programme, bringing together industry mentors including prominent actors and producers.

Zhang has now signed with CAA for representation as an emerging filmmaker, writer, and producer.
