The man had escaped a nine-month and 15-day prison sentence in Bologna for resisting a public official and aggravated assault. An international fugitive operation coordinated by INTERPOL across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe resulted in the arrest of 85 persons wanted internationally under INTERPOL Red Notices during a six-month campaign from June to November.
