In July 2025, Alexis Warr was announced as one of the new professional dancers joining the twenty-third series of Strictly Come Dancing, marking a significant milestone for the American dancer. The 25-year-old made history as the first Latin and ballroom dancer to win So You Think You Can Dance on its seventeenth season, establishing her credentials before crossing the Atlantic to the UK’s premier dance competition.

Born on 5th June 2000 in Highland, Utah, Warr started training at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Orem when she was six years old. Her impressive résumé includes working with Derek Hough on tour and appearing on America’s Got Talent. Interestingly, the Strictly star previously appeared on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, where she taught reality star Jen Shah a salsa lesson.
