Mark Wright’s 2025 Milestones: From BBC Show Host to First-Time Father

New Career Heights and Personal Joy

Mark Wright has embarked on an exciting new venture, joining the BBC One home-makeover show ‘Clean It, Fix It’ alongside DIY veteran Tommy Walsh, cleaning expert Maxine Dwyer, and creative carpenter Asher Edwards. The popular practical problem-solving series is currently filming across the UK.

Speaking about his new role, Wright expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m passionate about property and renovations, so I’m delighted to be joining such a wonderful team and programme. Clean It, Fix It has a heart, we come in and help people out who sometimes can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Personal Life and Family

In a joyous personal development, Wright and his wife, former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, welcomed their first child in March 2025. Their daughter was born on March 6th. The 38-year-old TV presenter became emotional discussing his newborn daughter Palma, saying it was “hard to put into words” how he feels.

Recent Challenges

The couple recently faced a challenging situation when they had to hide in a locked bedroom during an attempted break-in at their home. Fortunately, the intruders fled empty-handed after hearing Wright shouting, and police were alerted through their state-of-the-art security system.

Current Media Presence

As of March 2024, Wright continues his media career, hosting a weekly show with Olly Murs from 9am-12pm on Saturdays across the Heart radio network. The couple has also been sharing their journey of creating their “dream home” on Instagram, where their dedicated home account has attracted 664,000 followers.
