Greg Davies: From Taskmaster to ‘Full Fat Legend’ – The Welsh Comedy Giant’s Triumphant Return

A Comedy Legend’s Return to Stage
Greg Davies is making a triumphant return to live comedy with his brand-new 2025/26 stand-up show ‘Full Fat Legend’ – his first tour in seven years. The star of hit shows including Taskmaster, The Inbetweeners, The Cleaner, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Man Down, and Cuckoo is embarking on what promises to be his biggest live tour yet.
Current Projects and Success
Davies continues to dominate British television, having taken on multiple prominent roles since 2021. He has both written and starred in the BBC One comedy series The Cleaner, while also serving as the host of the revived music panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Standing at an impressive 6’8″ tall, Davies commands attention before speaking a word, known for his distinctive scrunched facial expressions and baritone shrieks. His recent achievements include receiving an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from his alma mater, Brunel University London in 2022, and in May 2024, he was featured on BBC Radio 4’s prestigious Desert Island Discs.
Welsh Heritage and Career Journey
Born in St. Asaph, Wales – a deliberate choice by his father who wanted his son to be Welsh – Davies proudly embraces his Welsh heritage. As he explains, “Being born Welsh was incredibly important to my father, he wanted his heritage to live on,” and today he can proudly claim his Welsh identity.
Looking Ahead
The ‘Full Fat Legend’ tour is set to be an extensive nationwide journey, with confirmed dates throughout late 2025 and early 2026. Venues include the Bath Forum, Portsmouth Guildhall, Bristol Hippodrome, and London’s Eventim Apollo. Early reviews from recent performances have been overwhelmingly positive, with audiences reporting being moved to tears of laughter.
