Judy Warren: From Paranormal Skeptic to Guardian of Her Parents’ Supernatural Legacy

The Warren Legacy Lives On

Judy Spera, daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren, has embraced her family’s paranormal legacy and continues their work today. Though she initially stayed far away from the paranormal world, in recent years she has taken on a more active role in continuing their renowned work.

Current Activities and Developments

Together with her husband Tony Spera, Judy now runs the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), the organization her parents founded. Through NESPR, they continue investigating paranormal phenomena and helping families affected by supernatural occurrences. The organization also serves as a central hub for Warren fans, providing archival footage, interviews, and case files from their most famous investigations.

In a significant development, as of August 2025, comedian Matt Rife and YouTube personality Elton Castee have purchased the Warren’s home and museum, becoming legal guardians of the featured artifacts until at least 2030. The museum is set to reopen with the unique opportunity for patrons to spend the night inside.

Personal Evolution

Interestingly, Judy may have inherited some of her mother’s abilities. While Lorraine was known for her clairvoyance during paranormal investigations, Judy has been more hesitant to fully embrace this aspect of her heritage. However, she has acknowledged experiencing strange phenomena herself, including vivid dreams and eerie warnings.

Looking Forward

While The Conjuring film franchise has transformed the Warrens into pop culture icons, Judy believes these movies have helped keep her parents’ memory alive. She has expressed that their work continues to resonate because people remain fascinated by their investigations. Though she approaches the paranormal with greater caution than her parents did, Judy continues to honor their legacy by educating the public about the paranormal while acknowledging the lasting importance of their work in the field.
