Martin Kemp Leaves I’m A Celebrity: Sixth Star Eliminated Before Final
Martin Kemp’s Jungle Journey Comes to an End
Presenters Ant & Dec announced that it was time to leave for Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, who had lasted 20 days in the jungle. The sixth contestant to be voted out by the public was revealed last night (December 5). The elimination comes as the ITV reality show races towards its highly anticipated final on Sunday night.
An Emotional Farewell
Martin said the highlights were “without a doubt” his campmates, particularly “just sitting around, not even the trials and stuff like that, but sitting around, talking and lots of laughs.” He shared, “I’m not one for making new friends, and this is the first time I’ve done it for years, and I absolutely loved it. Coming out now, I feel like I’ve done it. I feel like I’ve done everything I wanted to do, experienced it, and I can walk away with some brilliant anecdotes.”
Martin reflected on what he learned about himself: “I think I learned a lot about myself as well, about how patient I am, in a way, and also how emotional I am. Every turn, I felt like crying a lot of the time and it’s quite nice sometimes.”
Who’s Left in the Competition?
Martin joins Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook, and Ruby Wax, who have already left the jungle. The top three favourites to be crowned King of the jungle are rapper Aitch, social media star Angry Ginge and TV personality Jack Osbourne. Martin revealed that he wanted former EastEnders star Shona McGarty to win the show and be crowned the new Queen Of The Jungle, saying “I think Shona came out of a shell like you can’t imagine.”
Why This Matters
With only days remaining until the final, tensions and emotions are running high in camp. The ITV reality show is hurtling towards Sunday night’s final at rapid pace, with campmates being eliminated every night this week. Martin’s departure leaves just a handful of celebrities competing for the crown, making each remaining day in the jungle even more significant for both contestants and viewers invested in the outcome.
