RAF Red Arrows Unveil Spectacular New Display Programme for 2025 Season

Red Arrows Ready for Dynamic 2025 Season

The Red Arrows are launching into an action-packed summer season with a newly approved display featuring more challenging formations, loops, and rolls. The team has received official approval to perform for the public in 2025, with over 60 displays and major flypasts planned across the United Kingdom and mainland Europe between May and October.

New Display Features and Training

The team has introduced an exciting new finale featuring a dramatic palm tree formation, where five jets form the front section while Reds 8 and 9 complete the palm shape, complemented by the Synchro Pair performing opposition barrel rolls. Their preparation began with intensive training in Zadar, Croatia, before moving to Greece’s Tanagra air base, where pilots flew up to 15 times weekly to perfect their routines. This comprehensive training regime has enabled the whole team, both air and ground crew, to prepare thoroughly for the demanding season ahead.

International Presence and Notable Events

The iconic team’s 2025 schedule includes performances beyond British shores, with shows planned in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Greece and Spain. UK highlights include appearances at prestigious events such as the Isle of Man TT races, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Legacy and Expertise

The Red Arrows, operating from their base at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, have accumulated an impressive record of nearly 5,000 displays across 57 countries. Their performances are known for the trademark Diamond Nine formation and precision flying. Notably, all Red Arrows display pilots bring operational experience from frontline aircraft such as the advanced Typhoon, contributing to the RAF’s daily mission of securing British skies.

As the team embarks on their 2025 season, they remain committed to their core values of teamwork and professionalism in all aspects of their operations, from display flying to ground events. The team takes pride in their distinctive red and blue uniforms as they continue their mission to inspire, entertain, and engage audiences both at home and abroad. Their dynamic, colourful, precision displays promise to captivate crowds throughout the 2025 season.
