Long-Awaited Return to Camp Half-Blood
Season 2 of ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’ arrives on Disney+ Dec. 10 with two episodes. What Season 2 Brings to the Table
When Thalia’s pine tree gets poisoned and the barrier to camp becomes breachable, Clarisse, and eventually Percy and Annabeth, go in search of the Golden Fleece to heal the tree and also rescue Grover, where he has been lured by Polyphemus the Cyclops. The stakes are higher than ever as the protective magic surrounding Camp Half-Blood fails, putting all demigods at risk.
Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, and after the first two premiere, new episodes will arrive weekly at midnight, PT on Wednesday mornings (or late Tuesday nights). This weekly release schedule will keep fans engaged through January, with the season finale scheduled for 21 January 2026.

Future of the Franchise
The television adaptation of Rick Riordan’s series has already been renewed for a third season, with production underway. This represents a significant achievement, surpassing the previous film franchise. Not only is filming already underway, but it was confirmed that season 3 will adapt Rick Riordan’s third novel in the Percy Jackson series, The Titan’s Curse.
Why This Matters
The successful return of Percy Jackson represents more than just another streaming release—it marks the redemption of a beloved book series that fans felt was poorly served by earlier adaptations. With Rick Riordan directly involved as co-creator and executive producer, this Disney+ series has earned the trust of longtime readers whilst introducing a new generation to the world of Camp Half-Blood. The swift renewal for a third season signals Disney’s confidence in the franchise’s future and gives fans certainty that the story will continue beyond The Sea of Monsters.
