Red Arrows Unveil Spectacular New Display Programme for 2025 Season

A New Chapter for Britain’s Premier Aerobatic Team
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, has been granted official approval to display for the public in 2025, introducing a new performance featuring even more challenging formations, loops and rolls.
The team is set for an action-packed season, with more than 60 displays and major flypasts scheduled across the United Kingdom and mainland Europe between May and October.
Enhanced Display Programme
Squadron Leader Jon Bond, who leads the team, has revealed that the 2025 programme will showcase challenging shapes, including the Big Battle arrival, Swan Loop and Typhoon Roll. The first half of the 23-minute show will feature the longest and widest formations in the Red Arrows’ repertoire.
One of the highlights includes a spectacular finale where the five jets of the front section – known as Enid – combine with Reds 8 and 9 to create a palm tree shape, while the Synchro Pair performs opposition barrel rolls at the bottom.
International Presence
Following their 60th Display Season celebration and Canadian tour in 2024, the Red Arrows have released their 2025 Display Season schedule, which will see the team perform across the UK and Europe.
In the UK, spectators can catch the team at historic events including the Isle of Man TT races, Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Training and Preparation
The team’s preparation began with Exercise Springhawk, conducted in Zadar, Croatia, and at the Hellenic Air Force base Tanagra in Greece. This deployment allowed the Red Arrows to benefit from more settled weather conditions, with pilots flying up to 15 times weekly to perfect the new display. The intensive training period also enabled both air and ground crew to work closely together in preparation for the demanding season ahead.
