Romesh Ranganathan Expands His Horizons with West End Debut and New Entertainment Ventures
Introduction: A Busy Year for Britain’s Comedy Favourite
Romesh Ranganathan, one of Britain’s most recognisable comedians and television presenters, is experiencing a landmark year in 2026. The 47-year-old entertainer has embarked on new creative ventures that showcase his versatility beyond the comedy circuit. Ranganathan is making his West End stage debut in the role of Bill in Alan Ayckbourn’s psychological comedy Woman in Mind, starring alongside Sheridan Smith. This represents a significant departure for the comedian, who has built his career primarily in stand-up and television hosting.
West End Debut and Theatre Success
Woman in Mind is playing a strictly limited West End run at the Duke of York’s Theatre until Saturday 28 February 2026. Following its West End run, the production will tour to Sunderland Empire from 4 March until 7 March 2026 and Theatre Royal, Glasgow from 10 March until 14 March 2026. This theatrical venture marks a bold new direction for Ranganathan, demonstrating his willingness to challenge himself in unfamiliar artistic territory.
New Television and Digital Projects
Beyond the stage, Ranganathan continues to expand his television presence. Prime Video will launch a brand-new comedy reality series Would You Rather: Decide to Survive, hosted by Ranganathan, available exclusively in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide in 2026. The show takes the classic hypothetical party game and transforms it into reality entertainment. Additionally, Ranganathan has launched his brand-new podcast The Romesh Ranganathan Show with Michael Sheen as the inaugural guest, featuring upcoming guests including Paloma Faith and Jamie Redknapp.
Looking Ahead: A Diverse Entertainment Portfolio
In August 2025, it was announced Ranganathan would be a contestant on the second series of LOL: Last One Laughing UK in 2026. He has also announced a major new tour, ‘Will Change Your Life,’ with dates spanning late 2026 and 2027. For fans and industry observers alike, Ranganathan’s expanding portfolio underscores his status as one of Britain’s most hardworking and versatile entertainers, willing to take creative risks while maintaining his signature deadpan style.
