A Golden Year for British Showjumping
Rachel Proudley has emerged as one of Britain’s brightest showjumping talents, claiming the Young Rider Individual Gold title at the Youth European Championships in July 2025, whilst also helping secure Team Bronze earlier in the week. The 20-year-old rider from North Yorkshire has demonstrated exceptional skill and composure throughout the year, establishing herself as a dominant force in both championship competitions and specialist classes.
On her European Championship debut, Proudley remained impressively composed, delivering a foot-perfect round aboard Quality Street to produce a masterclass championship performance. The pair jumped clear rounds every day leading up to the final, carrying just 0.7 penalty points from the initial speed leg and delivering double clears in the team competition.
Breaking Records in Puissance
Beyond her championship success, Rachel Proudley has made history in puissance competitions. At the London Horse Show 2025, Proudley repeated her 2024 win and achieved a personal record height of 2.21m (7ft 3in).
Their third-place finish at HOYS 2024 marked the start of a 12-month blaze of puissance success, with significant wins at London International, Bolesworth and Dublin Horse Show. The partnership between Proudley and Easy Boy de Laubry Z has proven exceptional, with the rider praising her mount’s bravery and consistency.
