Lewis Hamilton has embarked on a new chapter in his Formula 1 career with Ferrari, marking his first team change in over a decade. This move represents one of the biggest driver transfers in F1 history, uniting the sport’s most accomplished driver with its most famous and successful team.

Ferrari hasn’t claimed a drivers’ title since Hamilton’s rookie year in 2007, while Hamilton himself still feels the sting of missing out on his eighth championship in 2021. Now, he has the opportunity to achieve that historic eighth title in Ferrari red while potentially ending the team’s long championship drought.

Early Season Challenges

After 14 rounds of the 2025 season, Hamilton currently sits sixth in the Drivers’ Standings, trailing his teammate Charles Leclerc, while Ferrari holds second place in the Teams’ Championship behind McLaren.
