Thomas Frank Facing the Sack at Tottenham as Pressure Mounts
Tottenham Manager in Crisis
A Tottenham Hotspur chief has ‘demanded’ head coach Thomas Frank to be sacked after the 3-2 loss against AFC Bournemouth, intensifying speculation about the Danish manager’s future at the club. Spurs officials are to hold ‘an emergency crisis meeting on Thursday to discuss Frank’s future’, with the situation becoming increasingly untenable just months into his tenure.
Disappointing Start at Spurs
Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou as the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur on 12 June 2025, signing a contract until 2028, arriving with high expectations after his successful spell at Brentford. However, Tottenham sit in 14th place in the Premier League table, some seven points adrift of the top four places. The North London side have now won just one of their last six games, raising serious concerns about the team’s direction.
Tottenham have won just two of their last 11 in the Premier League and not scored from open play since Dec. 6, resulting in growing frustration among supporters. Frank’s approach to football has not clicked with supporters, who have demanded more excitement.
What’s Next for Spurs?
Despite the mounting pressure, Frank insists the club hierarchy are ‘completely aligned’ with ownership. However, The likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Marco Silva are being eyed by Spurs as possible Frank replacements, with Oliver Glasner the top target. The coming weeks will prove crucial for Frank’s survival, as Tottenham’s disappointing season threatens to spiral further without immediate improvement in results and performances.
