Nintendo has released Version 1.0.2 for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on Nintendo Switch. The update is centred on bug fixes and gameplay improvements, with several changes aimed at progress, saving, local play and in-game presentation.
Progress and saving issues addressed
The patch notes list fixes for problems that could stop the game from progressing after a player builds up an island, or after changing to an exterior of a house created at the Palette House. Another fix targets an issue where, after a Mii character confesses successfully and the player tries to save, the game could display a corrupted save message and prevent saving.
There is also a fix for a similar problem that could appear after multiple Mii characters start living together. In that case, saving could trigger a data corruption message and block the player from saving.
Other gameplay bugs in Version 1.0.2
Alongside the save-related changes, Nintendo says it fixed a rare error that could occur when a scene switched over and cause the game to stop. The update also addresses an issue where the player could store the wishing fountain using Island Builder, but then could not place it on the island again and wishes could not be granted.
Another change covers a situation where, after a Mii character failed to patch things up with another Mii character after fighting, its crush for a different Mii character would disappear. The notes also mention a fix for a case where a Mii character did not feel better even when its Sadness ran out.
Local play and visual correction
The patch notes include a fix for local play, where the player could not send or receive things. Nintendo also corrected an in-game image: the treasure “sugar glider” had been using the image of the southern flying squirrel by mistake.
The update closes with a note that other issues were also fixed to improve the gameplay experience. It follows the game’s earlier version 1.0.1 update and continues Nintendo’s post-launch support for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
For players who have been following the latest Tomodachi Life patch notes, Version 1.0.2 is focused less on new content and more on making the current experience steadier across island progress, social interactions and local play.
What the update changes
In practical terms, the patch touches some of the game’s most important systems. Progression, saving, scene changes and item placement all appear in the list of fixes, alongside the correction to the sugar glider image. That makes Version 1.0.2 one of the more wide-ranging updates the game has received so far.
Although the patch does not add to the experience, it brings together a long list of adjustments that should help the game run more smoothly for players on Switch.
