The return of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is particularly noteworthy given the series’ lasting cultural impact. The original show has proven to be a massive cult hit and highly influential, credited for helping to popularise ongoing story arcs in television whilst also building a show around a strong female lead. The revival brings together an impressive creative team, with Oscar-winning Nomadland director Chloé Zhao attached to direct the pilot, whilst the series will be showrun by Nora Zuckerman and Lilla Zuckerman, who will write the pilot.
