Taskmaster Marks 10th Anniversary with Groundbreaking 20th Series Launch

A Decade of Creative Chaos

As the BAFTA and Rose d’Or winning television series celebrates its 10th anniversary on our screens, Taskmaster has revealed an exciting new lineup for its milestone 20th series.

New Season Details

The twentieth series will air on Channel 4 from 11 September to 13 November 2025, featuring an impressive cast including Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis, Reece Shearsmith, and Sanjeev Bhaskar. The series will embrace an agricultural theme, with location tasks taking place at Sandown Park Racecourse. Notably, this marks the final series recorded at Pinewood Studios before the closure of their television wing in 2025.

Global Success and Accessibility

The original UK version of Taskmaster has achieved remarkable success, now being broadcast in 120 countries. The show’s YouTube channel has demonstrated incredible international appeal, accumulating over 11 billion impressions since its October 2019 launch, with more than 895 million views and over 1.6 million subscribers. The channel has logged over 200 million hours of content viewed, with 56% of those hours coming from North America.

Enhanced Viewing Experience

In an exciting development for fans, this series will be the first since Series 12 to have episodes uploaded to YouTube on the same day as their Channel 4 broadcast. The series’ trailer made history as the first to be uploaded to the Channel 4 streaming app, becoming available on August 29.

Looking Ahead

The programme’s future is secure, with confirmation that it will continue for at least two more series until 2026. Fans worldwide can access content through Taskmaster SuperMax+, the show’s subscription-based streaming platform, which allows viewers to watch every episode ad-free from almost anywhere in the world.
