Where Is First Dates Beach Club? The Spanish Location Bringing Romance to Screens
The Stunning Spanish Setting
First Dates Beach Club was filmed in the Valhalla Beach Club in Cadiz, Spain. The venue can be found between Cadiz and Tarifa, offering a picturesque Mediterranean backdrop for the latest spin-off of Channel 4’s beloved dating series.
Why This Location Matters
The move to Spain marks an exciting evolution for the BAFTA-winning First Dates franchise, which has traditionally been filmed in UK restaurants across Bath, London and Manchester. The club is situated in a stunning beachside location, offering food, drinks, and a fun party atmosphere that producers believe creates the perfect environment for romance to blossom. After ten years of matchmaking, the show’s creators wanted to add a fresh dimension to the format with sun, sea and holiday vibes.
A New Chapter for the Franchise
The first season of First Dates Beach Club aired on 15 December 2025 on Channel 4, with eight episodes scheduled across the series. Singletons arrive at the club to be greeted by show regulars such as Fred Sirieix and Merlin Griffiths, joined by local team members Rolita and Tereza. Unlike the original format, contestants will also go on second dates, as well as on dates with other people, during their time at the beach club.
What This Means for Viewers
The Spanish location brings a sun-soaked atmosphere to British screens during the winter months, offering viewers an escape to warmer climes. While First Dates fans might be keen to jet off to the luxury location straight away, the beach club is temporarily closed and will reopen in the new year. The series represents Channel 4’s ambition to refresh the format for streaming audiences whilst maintaining the warmth and charm that has made First Dates one of the UK’s most-watched dating shows.
